How users opt in to SMS messages

Users opt in to SMS messages from BookDirectly only on real product forms — never on the marketing homepage alone.

1. Hosts: submit the Get Started form at https://mybookdirectly.com/get-started. That form includes a mobile phone field and an unchecked SMS consent checkbox.
2. Guests: each BookDirectly host receives their own branded property website (subdomain such as property-name.mybookdirectly.com, and optionally a custom domain). Every property site includes the same booking-request form at /bookwith phone + unchecked SMS consent. Guests opt in on that property's own page — not on mybookdirectly.com. On both forms, the consent checkbox is not pre-selected. Users must actively check the box before SMS messages are sent.

End users opt in to receive SMS messages from BookDirectly in two ways. BookDirectly is owned and operated by Gomez Tech Ventures LLC.

(1) Hosts: visit https://mybookdirectly.com/get-started and submit the Get Started form. The form includes a mobile phone field with an unchecked SMS consent checkbox directly below the phone field. The checkbox is not pre-selected. The host must actively check the box before booking-related SMS messages are sent to that number.

(2) Guests: each BookDirectly host gets their own branded property website (for example property-name.mybookdirectly.com, or a custom domain). Every property site includes the same booking-request form at /book with a mobile phone field and the same unchecked SMS consent checkbox. Guests opt in on that property’s own /book page — not on the BookDirectly marketing homepage. Messages are only sent for booking-related and customer-care purposes, including booking request confirmations, host approval updates, rental agreement links, payment links, check-in instructions, checkout reminders, and host/guest communication related to pending or active stays.
